Marc Faber, born February 28, 1946, is a Swiss investor based in Thailand, often nicknamed "Dr. Doom." He serves as the Managing Director of Marc Faber Limited, a firm he established in 1990, which operates as an investment advisor and fund manager. Faber is recognized for his contrarian investment approach and his timely market predictions. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Zurich, which he earned at the age of 24.
