Marc Lacey is an American journalist who has served as managing editor of The New York Times since 2022. His career began with a summer reporting internship at The Washington Post, followed by roles as a reporter at The Buffalo News and the Los Angeles Times. While at the Los Angeles Times, he was part of two teams that won Pulitzer Prizes for spot news reporting, covering the 1992 Los Angeles riots and the 1994 Northridge earthquake.
