Mandela Barnes is an American politician who served as the 45th Lieutenant Governor of Wisconsin from 2019. He was the state's second-ever Black statewide elected official. Barnes began his political career serving in the Wisconsin legislature as a State Representative. As Lieutenant Governor, he worked with Governor Evers and chaired the Governor's Task Force on Climate Change.
