Makhtar Diop is the Managing Director of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, a position he assumed on March 1, 2021. In this role, his main priorities include mobilizing investments in the poorest and most fragile countries and creating conditions for a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable recovery.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Diop served as the World Bank’s Vice President for Infrastructure.
