Magnus Brunner is an Austrian politician who has served as the European Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration since December 2024. A member of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP), he previously held the position of Austria's finance minister from 2021 until 2024 in the government of Chancellor Karl Nehammer.
Brunner's political career includes serving as a member of the Federal Council for the ÖVP from May 2009 until January 2020.
