Magda Chambriard, a Brazilian chemical engineer born in 1957, became the President of Petrobras in June 2024. Petrobras is a state-owned petroleum corporation that was ranked the 54th largest company in the world in 2024 by Forbes Global 2000. Prior to this, she made history as the first female director-general of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), the agency responsible for regulating Brazil's oil industry, a position she held from 2012 to 2016.
