Mae Ngai is an American historian. She is the Lung Family Professor of Asian American Studies and Professor of History at Columbia University. Ngai has also served as a Visiting Professor in the School of History and Culture at Northeast Normal University and as a Fellow at The Wilson Center. She has led seminars in US immigration, ethnicity and race at the Organization Of American Historians.
