Biography

Lyndon Rive is a South African-American businessman, best known as the co-founder of SolarCity. He co-founded SolarCity with his brother Peter in 2006 and served as its CEO until 2016. Under his leadership, SolarCity grew to become the largest residential solar installer in the United States by the early 2010s.

After Tesla, Inc. acquired SolarCity in 2016, Rive announced his departure in 2017 to spend time with his family and pursue further entrepreneurial activities, including a new startup.
