Luis de Guindos Jurado is a Spanish politician who currently serves as Vice-President of the European Central Bank, a position he has held since 2018. Prior to this, he served as Spain's Minister of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness from 2011 to 2018.
De Guindos began his career in public service, holding roles such as General Director for Economic and Competitiveness in 1996 and Secretary in General for Economy in 2000.
