Louis Hugh Wilson Jr. (1920-2005) was a distinguished United States Marine Corps four-star general. Born in Brandon, Mississippi, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Millsaps College in 1941. Wilson enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserve in May 1941 and was commissioned as a second lieutenant later that year, beginning a 38-year career in military service.
During World War II, Wilson was deployed to the Pacific theater with the 9th Marine Regiment in February 1943.
