Biography

Lonnie Bedwell is a blind adaptive athlete, acclaimed motivational speaker, and award-winning author. Despite becoming completely blind in 1997, he has kayaked some of the world's most challenging whitewater. His achievements led to him being named a National Geographic 2015 Adventurer of the Year. He is also a military veteran and raised three daughters as a single father.
