Lonnie G. Johnson is an engineer, inventor, and entrepreneur recognized for his extensive patent portfolio, which includes over 150 patents, predominantly in the energy sector. He is widely known as the inventor of the Super Soaker water gun.
In 2022, he was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame. Johnson also received the "Breakthrough Award" from Popular Mechanics magazine for an invention that converts heat directly into electricity.
