Lisa A. Cooper is a Liberian-born general internist, social epidemiologist, and health services researcher. She serves as the Director of the Johns Hopkins Urban Health Institute and is the Founding Director of the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Equity.
Cooper is also a Bloomberg Distinguished Professor and James F. Fries Professor of Medicine at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, a position she has held since 1994.
