William "Liam" Fedus is a machine learning researcher and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder of Periodic Labs, a company established in 2025 with Ekin Doğuş Çubuk. Periodic Labs aims to integrate machine learning models with automated laboratory experiments to advance scientific research, initially focusing on materials science. The company announced it had raised $300 million in seed financing in a round led by Andreessen Horowitz.
