Biography

Leta Hong Fincher is an American journalist, feminist, and writer. She currently serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University's Weatherhead East Asian Institute, where she is also a research associate. Her work primarily focuses on gender inequality and the feminist movement in China.

Fincher is the author of two books: "Leftover Women: The Resurgence of Gender Inequality in China" (2014) and "Betraying Big Brother: The Feminist Awakening in China" (2018).
