Layla Elabed serves as the Organizing Director at Arab Americans for Progress, where she focuses on building Arab American political power in Michigan. She is also the Co-founder of the Uncommitted Movement.

As a community and electoral organizer, Elabed is dedicated to building working-class political power. She designs and leads base-building and electoral campaigns aimed at challenging established power structures and converting grassroots energy into structural change.
