Lawrence Wright is an American writer and journalist, currently a staff writer for The New Yorker magazine and a fellow at the Center for Law and Security at the New York University School of Law. He is widely recognized for his nonfiction works, most notably his 2006 book, "The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11." This book became a bestseller and was honored with the J. Anthony Lukas Book Prize and the 2007 Pulitzer Prize for General Nonfiction.
