Lawrence Francis Katz is the Elisabeth Allison Professor of Economics at Harvard University, a position he has held since 1986. He is also a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. From 1993 to 1994, Katz served as the chief economist at the U.
S. Department of Labor under Secretary Robert Reich during the Bill Clinton administration.
