Dr. Laurie Santos is the Chandrika and Ranjan Tandon Professor of Psychology and Head of Silliman College at Yale University. She directs Yale's Comparative Cognition Laboratory and Canine Cognition Lab. Her research investigates the evolutionary origins of the human mind by comparing the cognitive abilities of humans and non-human animals, and she is an expert on the science of happiness and how minds can mislead about what brings joy.
