Laura Winterling is a physicist, former astronaut instructor, entrepreneur, commercial helicopter pilot, and helicopter flight instructor. She also works as Rettungsdienst (EMT) at SKS Ambulanz, a role she has held since 2021. Winterling holds a Master's degree in Physics and has studied Organisational Psychology.

For almost a decade, Winterling worked for the European Space Agency (ESA) as an astronaut instructor.
