Laura L. Carstensen is the Fairleigh S. Dickinson Jr.

Professor in Public Policy and a Professor of Psychology at Stanford University. She is the founding director of the Stanford Center on Longevity and the principal investigator for the Stanford Life-span Development Laboratory.
