Kurt Michael Campbell is an American diplomat and businessman. He served as the United States Deputy Secretary of State from 2024 to 2025. Previously, he was the National Security Council Coordinator for the Indo-Pacific from 2021 to 2024, where he was referred to as the Biden administration's "Asia coordinator" or "Asia czar," serving as the chief architect of Joe Biden's Asia strategy. On January 20, 2021, he was appointed to this NSC Coordinator role by Joe Biden.
