Biography

Kristin Crowley is an American firefighter who served as the chief of the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) from 2022 to 2025. She began her career with the LAFD in 2000 after passing the firefighters' exam in 1998, ranking in the top 50 out of over 16,000 applicants. Throughout her tenure, Crowley held numerous roles including firefighter, paramedic, engineer, fire inspector, captain, battalion chief, assistant chief, fire marshal, and deputy chief.
