Biography

Kristi Noem is an American politician who currently serves as Special Envoy for the Shield of the Americas. She previously held significant roles in U.S.

government, including the eighth United States Secretary of Homeland Security from 2025 to 2026. Prior to her cabinet position, Noem served as the 33rd Governor of South Dakota from 2019 to 2025, and represented South Dakota's at-large congressional district in the U.S.

House of Representatives from 2011 to 2019.
