John Kevin Stitt is an American businessman and politician serving as the 28th Governor of Oklahoma since 2019. A member of the Republican Party, he was first elected in 2018, defeating Drew Edmondson, and reelected in 2022, defeating Joy Hofmeister. Stitt, a fourth-generation Oklahoman, entered politics as a political outsider with a mission to bring business expertise to government and elevate Oklahoma to a “Top Ten” state.
