Kevin Kelly, born in Pennsylvania in 1952, is recognized as the founding executive editor of Wired magazine and a former editor and publisher of the Whole Earth Review. He is also a writer, photographer, conservationist, and a dedicated student of Asian and digital culture. His early interest in cybernetics was influenced by his father, an executive for Time who utilized systems analysis in his work.
Kelly began his career contributing freelance articles to CoEvolution Quarterly in 1980.
