Dorothy Jacqueline Keely, professionally known as Keely Smith, was an American jazz and popular music singer. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, Smith began her singing career at a young age, performing on radio programs and with naval air station bands. She met Louis Prima in New York City in 1949, and they married in 1953. The couple became stars in the entertainment business, performing on stage, television, and in motion pictures, and recording hit records.
