Kay Koplovitz is an American businesswoman recognized for her pioneering work in cable television. She founded the USA Network in 1977, initially as Madison Square Garden Sports, and served as its chairwoman and CEO until 1998. Under her leadership, USA Network became the first satellite-delivered basic cable network and was sold for $4.5 billion.
