Katherine Barrett Wilson, born July 12, 1982, is an American politician and activist currently serving as the 58th mayor of Seattle since 2026. She was elected mayor in 2025, running as a progressive with priorities including housing, homelessness, and protecting Seattle from federal actions. Wilson, a democratic socialist, narrowly defeated incumbent mayor Bruce Harrell in the election.
