Kate Koren serves as the Deputy Director of the Economics Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. In this role, she contributes to the program's focus on economic analysis and policy.

Prior to her current position, Koren gained experience within the U.S. government. She worked with the Bureau of Industry and Security-U.S. Department of Commerce. Her career also includes multiple roles as an Analyst with the US Navy.
