Katarzyna Adamala is a Polish-born American synthetic biologist and a professor of genetics at the University of Minnesota. Her research encompasses astrobiology, synthetic cell engineering, and biocomputing. She has made significant contributions to understanding the origin of life through her work on prebiotic RNA replication, providing an experimental scenario for the RNA world hypothesis.
