Biography

Kara H. Hurst is the Chief Sustainability Officer and Vice President of Worldwide Sustainability at Amazon, a position she has held since 2014. In this role, she leads the Worldwide Sustainability team, overseeing Amazon’s transition to more sustainable operations, transport, renewable energy, sustainable products, packaging, and shopping. She also oversees the company's commitment to The Climate Pledge, which Amazon co-founded in 2019 with an intention to be net-zero carbon by 2040.
