Biography

Tibor Kapu, born November 5, 1991, is a Hungarian mechanical engineer and astronaut. He is slated to fly as a mission specialist on Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) to the International Space Station, with a launch date of June 25, 2025. This mission will make Kapu the third Hungarian to participate in a spaceflight, following Bertalan Farkas in 1980 and Charles Simonyi in 2007. His spaceflight is a collaborative effort between the Hungarian state and the American space company Axiom Space.
