Biography

Kajsa Ollongren is a Dutch-Swedish politician who currently serves as the EU Special Representative for Human Rights of the Council of the European Union, a role she assumed in June 2025. A member of the Democrats 66 (D66) party, she has held prominent positions within the Dutch government, including Minister of Defence, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.

From January 2022 to July 2024, Ollongren served as the Dutch Minister of Defence.
