Julio Ricardo Varela is an award-winning journalist and nonprofit leader. He currently holds the position of Senior Producer and Strategist for Free Press.

Varela is the founder of The Latino Newsletter and established Latino Rebels in 2011. His work also includes serving as an MSNBC columnist.
