Julie Bishop is an Australian former politician who served as the Member for Curtin in the House of Representatives from 1998 to 2019. She was the Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party from 2007 until 2018, holding the position under three different Liberal leaders. In 2013, she was sworn in as Australia’s first female Foreign Minister, a role she held until 2018, following four years as Shadow Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade.
