Julie Foudy is a highly decorated American retired soccer midfielder, known for her extensive career with the United States women's national soccer team from 1988 to 2004. She is a two-time FIFA Women's World Cup champion and a two-time Olympic gold medalist, having also served as the team's captain from 2000 to 2004. Foudy concluded her international playing career with 274 caps and was the first American and first woman to receive the FIFA Fair Play Award in 1997.
