Julia Angwin is an American investigative journalist, author, and entrepreneur. She is the Founder and CEO of Proof News and previously co-founded The Markup, a nonprofit newsroom dedicated to investigating the impact of technology on society. Her career includes significant roles at The Wall Street Journal, where she was part of a Pulitzer Prize-winning team, and ProPublica, where she was a Pulitzer Prize finalist.
