Judy Chu is an American politician who serves as the U.S. Representative for California's 28th congressional district. A member of the Democratic Party, she has held a seat in Congress since 2009, initially representing California's 32nd congressional district until redistricting. Chu holds the distinction of being the first Chinese American woman elected to Congress.
Prior to her federal service, Chu had an extensive career in local and state politics.
