Juan Sebastián González is a Colombian-American politician with a distinguished career in U.S. foreign policy, primarily focused on Latin America.
He immigrated to the United States from Cartagena, Colombia, at the age of seven. He holds a degree in sciences from the University of Buffalo and a master's degree in Latin American studies from Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service. His early career included serving as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guatemala from 2001 to 2003.
