Joyce Vance is a Professor of the Practice of Law at the University of Alabama and a Senior Fellow at the Brennan Center. She teaches law and writes about the intersection of law and politics in her newsletter, Civil Discourse, on Substack.

Previously, Vance served as the United States attorney for the Northern District of Alabama from 2009. She is also a legal analyst on MSNOW and co-hosts the #SistersInLaw & Insider Podcasts.
