Joshua David Hawley is the senior United States Senator from Missouri, a seat he has held since 2019. A member of the Republican Party, he was reelected in 2024. Prior to his Senate tenure, Hawley served as the 42nd Attorney General of Missouri from 2017 to 2019, defeating two-term incumbent Claire McCaskill in the 2018 election for the Senate.
Hawley was born in Springdale, Arkansas, and moved to Lexington, Missouri, in 1981.
