Biography

Joseph Liow serves as the Dean and Wang Gungwu Professor in East Asian Affairs at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. He also holds the position of Chairman at the Middle East Institute. As a political scientist and educator, his research and teaching focus on the intersection of Southeast Asian politics, Muslim politics and social movements, and the evolving geopolitics of the wider Asia-Pacific region.
