Jordi Galí, born on January 4, 1961, is a Spanish macroeconomist widely recognized as a central figure in New Keynesian macroeconomics. He currently holds positions as a Senior Researcher at the Centre de Recerca en Economia Internacional (CREI), a Professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra, and a Research Professor at the Barcelona School of Economics.
Galí earned his doctorate from MIT in 1989, where he was supervised by Olivier Blanchard.
