Biography

Jonathan Boff is a Professor of Military History at the University of Birmingham and an AHRC Leadership Fellow from 2020 to 2023. His current research focuses on economic statecraft and the role of money in modern war, which will culminate in a book published by Oxford University Press in 2026. He specializes in defence innovation, strategy, economic warfare, and morale.
