Jonathan Adler is an American potter, interior decorator, and author, born on August 11, 1966, in Bridgeton, New Jersey. He discovered an interest in pottery at a young age and later studied semiotics and art history at Brown University, spending significant time making pots at the Rhode Island School of Design. After a period in the entertainment industry, Adler returned to pottery, teaching classes in New York City in exchange for studio space.
