John W. Rogers, Jr. is an American investor and the founder, Chairman, Co-CEO, and Chief Investment Officer of Ariel Investments, LLC.
He founded Ariel Capital Management, which later became Ariel Investments, in 1983. The firm is recognized as the United States' largest minority-run mutual fund firm. Rogers has also been a regular contributor to Forbes magazine for most of the last decade.
