John Lough serves as a Senior Research Fellow and Head of International at the New Eurasian Strategies Centre. In this capacity, he focuses on full-time research concerning Russia and the countries in its vicinity. His research interests specifically include Germany and Ukraine.

Lough is the author of the 2021 book 'Germany’s Russia Problem,' which he plans to update. His current research follows nearly two decades spent in consultancy.
