John Kaag is an American philosopher, author, and academic who serves as Chair and Professor of Philosophy at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He specializes in American philosophy, and his writings have appeared in publications such as The Paris Review, The New York Times, and Harper's Magazine. Kaag is also an External Professor at the Santa Fe Institute, where he previously served as a Miller Scholar from 2019 to 2021.
