John Michael Jumper is an American chemist and computer scientist, currently serving as a Distinguished Scientist at Google DeepMind. He was awarded the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, shared with Demis Hassabis, for his groundbreaking work on protein structure prediction. Jumper and his colleagues developed AlphaFold, an artificial intelligence (AI) model capable of predicting protein structures from their amino acid sequences with high accuracy.
